An international investment fund headquartered in Paris, purchased Pärnu Road 139 building, rented by the Police and Border Guard Board. The owner of the immovable, OÜ Pärnu Maantee 139 purchased the property from a German estate and investment company Catella Real Estate AG in February this year. The parties do not disclose the price of the transaction.
According to the majority shareholder of Pärnu Road 139, Jaanus Otsa, having an investor of such a calibre entering the Estonian real estate market, is a great sign for the whole of market. “When international investors find Estonia, it shows their belief in the Estonian economy as well as in the country in general. I think well all need such a confidence in our current situation”, said Otsa.
Colonna Kinnisvara, a company that mainly mediates professional investors’ capital placements into Estonian real estate projects, acted as a consultant to the French investment fund. Colonna Kinnisvara’s experienced team will be operating the Police and Border Guard Board Headquarter building. ‘’We hope that the fund will be pleased with the transaction and we will continue our collaboration in expanding the Baltic States’ real estate portfolio for the fund,” said Roberto de Silvestri, the representative of Colonna.
Founded in 2006, Colonna Group that is mainly involved in capital mediating has investments in the amount of more than 200 million euros in various Estonian real estate projects. Investors related with the company own more than 65 real estate objects. In total, Colonna has over 200,000 m2 of leased space under management.
